  • What does a clinical psychologist do?

    • A clinical psychologist is trained to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health concerns. Therapy provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore challenges, develop coping strategies, and improve overall well-being.

  • Do you offer online therapy sessions in South Africa?

    • Yes. All services — including individual, adolescent, couples therapy, business coaching, and DBT skills groups — are available online. This makes sessions accessible whether you’re in Fourways, Johannesburg, elsewhere in South Africa, or even abroad.

  • How long is a typical therapy session?

    • Sessions are 50 minutes long, providing enough time to explore presenting issues while keeping the therapeutic process structured and focused.

  • How much does therapy cost in Fourways Johannesburg?

    • Sessions are billed at R1300 per 50-minute session. Therapy can be paid privately or through medical aid if applicable.

  • Do you accept medical aid?

    • Yes. We are contracted with all major medical aids. Therapy sessions are billed from medical aid savings unless using prescribed minimum benefits, which require a written application.

  • What’s the difference between a psychologist, psychiatrist, and counsellor?

    • A psychologist provides therapy and psychological assessments but does not prescribe medication. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can prescribe medication for mental health conditions. Counsellors offer supportive guidance but may not have the same level of clinical training as a psychologist.
