Therapeutic Approach

In my approach to individual therapy, I aim to create a safe and supportive space where challenges can be explored with openness, curiosity and a sincere trust and belief in one's own expertise in their own life and experiences. I believe change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship, where clients feel heard and empowered to tap into their own unique strengths in order to effect meaningful change in their lives.

 

While I value each person’s unique journey, I also recognize that no one exists in isolation—our families, friendships, workplaces, and communities all play a role in shaping our experiences. By bringing together person-centered and eco-systemic psychological perspectives, I work with clients to understand their difficulties in context, and to find creative, practical ways of managing life’s stressors with greater confidence and resilience.

Is Individual Therapy Right For Me?

I firmly believe almost anyone can benefit from a therapeutic process, the only requirement is a willingness to engage openly and honestly - there is no doing something "wrong" in therapy. Therapy doesn't have to be a lifetime commitment - it can be a short-term support structure or a move towards greater personal growth and self-actualisation.​ I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach; every client is unique and if you're uncertain how a therapeutic process may best benefit you individually, that is something that can be discovered.
